The 2014 BMW M5 is a rear-wheel drive mid-size luxury sedan that is powered by a 4.4-liter M TwinPower turbo 32-valve V8 engine that puts out 560 hp at 6000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm. With the optional Competition package, output is raised to 575 hp. You can select either a standard seven-speed automated manual transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters or an optional six-speed conventional manual transmission. This vehicle features an automatic stop-start engine function and brake energy regeneration.
The 2014 BMW M5 has a top speed of 155 mph and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission. The EPA-estimated fuel economy rating for the six-speed manual transmission is 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.
