2019 BMW X3 vs 2019 Lincoln MKC

If you're interested in a luxury SUV, your options may seem endless. But when advanced innovation and top-notch versatility are at the top of your list, you can't go wrong with the 2019 BMW X3. This new SUV stands out from the competition in more ways than one. To put our money where our mouth is, we pinned it against a top competitor: the 2019 Lincoln MKC.

The BMW X3 near Orlando, FL packs a mean punch under its hood. The standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 248 horsepower, which is more than what the Lincoln MKC offers as standard; its 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder machine pumps out just 245 horsepower. The BMW X3 M40i's 3.0-liter six-cylinder powertrain is worth 355 horsepower. The Lincoln MKC model's 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder? It's capable of just 305 horsepower.

Cargo space is priority in SUVs, and you'll find ample room in the BMW X3. Behind the second-row seat, 28.7 cubic feet of cargo space is present. The Lincoln MKC struggles with offering just 25.2 cubic feet in the same configuration. The X3 maintains its lead with a massive 62.7 cubic feet of total storage room with the rear seat folded flat. Only 53.1 cubic feet is available with the second row folded in the Lincoln MKC.

In addition to spaciousness, the BMW X3 continues to beat out the competition when it comes to safety. Key differences include the availability of a surround view camera, a post collision braking system, and a whiplash protection system that are offered in the X3. The Lincoln MKC fails to provide any of these features.
